I DO still believe this holds true, however I sent an email to SE to confirm and they refused to do so. Generally, as long as the cheatengine/trainer isn't open while connected to a MP game, you are safe. I advocated the use of MrAntifun'S Trainer for the singleplayer component of DXMD.
